Like all major cities across America, Las Vegas has its share of crime. Above is a map based on Federal Bureau of Investigation crime data to help you negotiate which areas are relatively more and less safe in this area. At Home Security 8, we below that a well informed person is less likely to become a victim of violent crime. By looking at the lights above, you can tell which areas are more dangerous by looking for the red lights. Likewise, safer areas are shown with green lights. Our violent crime index based on rape, assault, and murder statistics.Though the map may be shocking, it is important to realize that overall Violent Crime has been dropping and Las Vegas is no different.

The Las Vegas area is in the most dangerous 10% nationally. Lots of red lights here to indicate less safe areas. Showing 152 murders in a population of 1,315,625, this ranks the area in the most dangerous 25% for murder nationally. Even so, Las Vegas is undergoing a period of urban renewal. There are steps that it can take to improve, and the home security industry plays a paramount role.

We provide this map as a public service to the public and to keep students studying at The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) informed. Known as Sin City , there is lots to do in Las Vegas. Use this map when going to the Baseball Stadium to see the team, or any of the great sports teams like the local basketball team or local football team . Security systems play a paramount role in keeping fans safe and happy at these events.

For visitors, Las Vegas is very hot in the summer, and mild in the winter. We encourage residents and visitors to take in sites such as Golden Nugget or Binion's Gambling Hall and Hotel, but to be vigilant of their surroundings.
