Like all major cities across the United States, Seattle has its share of crime. Above is a map based on Federal Bureau of Investigation crime data to help you negotiate which areas are relatively more and less safe in this area. At Home Security 8, we below that a well informed person is less likely to become a victim of violent crime. By looking at the lights above, you can tell which areas are more dangerous by looking for the red lights. Likewise, safer areas are shown with green lights. Our violent crime index based on rape, assault, and murder statistics.Though the map may be alarming, it is important to realize that overall Violent Crime has been dropping and Seattle is no different.

The Seattle area is in the most dangerous 20% across America. The red shaded lights here indicate less safe parts of the metropolitan area. With 30 murders in a population of 583,772, this ranks the locale in the less safe half for murder across America. While Seattle is not in the most dangerous fourth for murder of locations across America, there is certainly room for improvement, and the home security industry plays an important role.

We provide this map as a public service to the public and to keep students studying at University of Washington informed. Known as Emerald City , there is lots to do in Seattle. Use this map when going to the Baseball Stadium Safeco Field to see the Seattle Mariners team, or any of the great sports teams like the local basketball team Seattle Sonics or local football team Seattle Seahawks. Security systems play an important role in keeping fans safe and happy at these events.

For visitors, Seattle is dry in the summer, and wet in the winter. We would like residents and visitors to take in sites such as Seattle International Film Festival or Green Lake Park, but to understand the dangers of their surroundings.
